You’ve heard of Conservation International before, haven’t you? If not, you’re in for a treat.

Conservation International, CI, has been at the forefront of nature conservation for 30 years. They believe in the power and beauty of our world and our need to protect it.

As an organization, they utilize different tools to monitor species and our ecosystems and create plans to protect these.

Peter Seligmann, CI’s co-founder, chairman and CEO said, “Our connection to our natural world is more than sentimental. Humanity depends on fresh water, reliable food and a stable climate. For that, we need intact forests, productive fisheries and healthy ecosystems.”

Their website features studies they’ve conducted, success they’ve had in conservation and work that still needs to be done.

Here are some of CI’s well known commercials from their Nature is Speaking campaigns:

Julia Roberts is Mother Nature

Harrison Ford is The Ocean

Robert Redford is The Redwood

To celebrate this momentous occasion, CI shared a photo series of places they’ve been in the past while they look towards the future.

You can donate towards their studies and plans towards protecting our environment and sign up for their newsletter to stay connected.

Check out their photo series here, and stay in touch with CI through their Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram.
