Story Time with Lee Habeeb

Today, The Two Mikes spoke with Lee Habeeb, who is the Vice President of Content and host, along with six other "storytellers", of the Salem Radio Network’s program called "Our American Stories.

The program is now five-and-a-half years old, episodes are each two-hours long, they appear five nights per week, and covers stories about American heroes -- well known and ones who are largely unknown, but surely merit public recognition.

The title of each program seems to be eye-and-interest catching; for example:  "No hands: No problem. Overcoming the Loss of Both My Arms", "The Blue Collars Leader of America's Most Innovative University", "Abolitionist John Brown", a "Washington's Farewell Address: The Story of America", and "Martin Luther: The Man Who Rediscovered God and Changed the World".

Mr. Habeeb said that the programs are made for viewers from youngster to adult, and that viewers are increasingly writing in to say that their children are eager fans of the program, which is a great thing indeed given the deceitful rot that poses as U.S. history at all levels of today's educational system and most television programs.

One of The Two Mikes listened, with his son, to the episode about Washington's Farewell Address and found it to be excellent.
