The Apex of Tyranny with Ron Paul

Today on The Mikes we had the honor of again speaking with Dr. Ron Paul, perhaps the only

American politician of the 20 th and 21 st centuries to relentlessly and accurately explain to his

voters and all Americans what the Founders and their Constitution intended for the American

republic, and how America’s presidents and other elected officials, beginning with Lincoln, have

gradually abandoned the Founders intentions, and how that gradual abandonment became a

flood of abandonment since Wilson and his ego unnecessarily took the United States in

Europe’s mad war in 1917.

Dr. Paul said that America cannot go on much longer as things stand. We are now, he said, in

the ridiculous position of having to borrow money to pay the interest on the money we

borrowed previously. This is something that the Founders and their commonsense warned

Americans about when they explained the dangers of a fully centralized government that would

consistently usurp the constitutional powers of the state governments, which were meant by

the Founders to be the bulwark protecting individual liberties. Lincoln, of course, commenced

the destruction of states’ rights and most of those who flowed them continued the process. The

result today is that most of the states are the paid abettors of the federal government and its

authoritarian ambition to maintain forever the anti-Constitution policies with which it is seeking

to bind Americans to servitude.

Dr. Paul said the evidence of misgovernment is everywhere in America. There is, for example,

nothing in the Constitution or commonsense that justifies a person being taxed on the money

he earns to support himself and his family. The income tax amendment ought to be repealed.

Likewise, there is no legal of constitutional basis for the United States being on a war-footing

for all other years since 1941, and spending unconscionable amounts of money on a military

that engages only in the unnecessary interventionist wars overseas as a means of spreading the

democracy that longer exists at home, and enriching the defense industry. The pointlessness of

this is apparent by noting that the United States has only been invaded once in its history –

during the War of 1812 and that attack was defeated – and that America has lost every

unnecessary interventionist war it has fought since 1945. And yet the military budget gets

larger with each passing year, and young Americans are still dying in conflicts that have

absolutely nothing to do with protecting liberty or preventing an invasion in the United States.

Wars, after all, are perhaps the greatest manufacturer of deadly acids and budget deficits that

invariably destroy republican liberties.

Dr. Paul discussed several other important issues with us – universities that champion the

federal government’s interventionism at home and abroad, the open-borders invasion allowed

by Biden’s government, and the idiot position so many politicians take against the 2 nd

Amendment, which the Founders adopted because Americans must be able to protect their

republic and its liberties not only against foreign threats, but more especially against the threat

that has been growing since Lincoln’s reign and originates and now thrives in all three branches

of the federal government. That government has long wanted to seize private weapons to

protect themselves and their ever-growing tyranny against everyday Americans. SPONSORS
